Shot put.  The men in the sector would be quite impressive. I don't want to say that they lack strength either. But the shot put, well, doesn't want to and doesn't want to listen. A champion with a sixty-meter performance - isn't this a serious enough signal for shot put coaches to think about it and radically reevaluate their work? True, Arturs Sliede continues to progress, and now he improved his personal record by 13 cm.  But isn't this too slow progress at the age of 22? Perhaps it would be hasty to draw parallels here with the 20 years of world record holder Randy Mattson, but there's something to think about.

Hammer throw.  Here the view is even sadder than in the shot put. The informant reported in a rather high-pitched voice that the best results of the season in the republic had been achieved. But what are those results: 54.88 m gold medal, 54.12 m silver medal. And five meters less for bronze. Let's not immediately compare ourselves to the world record holder, but let's look at our northern neighbors, the Estonians. They have 3-4 men throwing a hammer over the 60 m line. Isn't that something to think about?
