Track and Field Winter Competitions in Tallinn and Riga (16.32m)

The Riga track and field athletes' winter competition, their last test before international competitions, ended yesterday at the sports arena. 

Renāte Lāce won the 50 m race (6.4 sec.). In this distance, the first among men was L. Pavlovskis (5.9). In the shot put, Arturs Sliede achieved the result of the candidate for the master - 16.32 . In the pole vault, V. Merkulovs and Z. Žohovskis made 4.20 meters. In the triple jump, N. Preobraženskis - 15.14 m, and in the high jump, J. Ziediņš and T. Bušmanis 1.95. In the long jump, V. Riščenko reached 7.07 m, and the young dynamo L. Magone pleased - 6.95 m. M. Malevsiča and J. Lanka won the hurdles. The team competition was won by the track and field athletes of «Daugava».
