At the RPI Masters Weightlifting Championships, Artūrs Sliede , a student of the Faculty of Automatics and Computing, achieved a good result in the second heavyweight category . His results: 137.5 kg in the press, 125 kg in the snatch, 157.5 kg in the clean and jerk, and 420 kg in the 3-lift total, all of which, except for the snatch, are new RPI and Sliede personal records.
Other good results were achieved by V. Saveļjevs in lightweight - 295, A. Rēpulis in welterweight - 307.5 and A. Vjalovs in middleweight - 330 kg.
