On Saturday, the Jurmala Festival sports competitions took place. The most successful were the weightlifters. Dynamo member A. Sliede (II heavyweight) pushed 203.5 kg. This is a new republican and "Dinamo" CP record. Artūrs improved his previous achievement by 3 kg. A. Sliede's club member V. Pērkons (I heavyweight) was a little more modest - he lifted "only" 145.5 kg and repeated the republican record belonging to E. Baltgalvis (Daugava).

After the gymnasts' demonstrations and the weightlifters' efforts, the spectators went to the Jurmala tennis courts, where the republic's strongest archers competed.
