The most diligent world record-breakers were weightlifters. GENĀDIJS IVANČENKO managed to do it three times, and KĀRLIS PUMPURIŅŠ — twice. The first Latvian athlete to join the 500 kg club (which includes weightlifters who have reached 500 kg in the triathlon) was K.
