In the competition in Jurmala, the Dinamo athlete Arturs Sliede set a new Latvian record in the snatch in the 2nd heavyweight category - 203.5 kg. He beat his previous record by 3 kilograms. There, the athlete V. Pērkons repeated the republican record in the snatch in the heavyweight category - 145.5 kg.
