From the All-Union «Dinamo» championships, which took place in Feodosia, the Riga Dynamo team led by Mikhail Freifeld returned as real record-breakers - they achieved eleven Latvian records, won five championship titles in the triathlon and eight in individual exercises. In addition, our weightlifting leaders G. Ivanchenko, K. Pumpuriņš and V. Łebedevs could not compete due to the flu.
Aleksandrs Diņņikovs became the Dinamo Champion and record holder in the light lightweight category — 367.5 kg (115,110+142.5). His triathlon total and clean and jerk result are new Latvian records.
