The surprise was Laimonis Kivlenieks' second place in the discus throw, leaving behind the famous Lithuanian "tandem". The best athlete from Cēsis managed to do this with a remarkable personal record - 51.66 m. The 50 m line was crossed for the first time!

Arturs Sliede was also pleased: 15.95 m is his personal record in the shot put.

Jānis Lūsis struggled with a headwind this time, which he failed to overcome in his attack on the 80-meter line. It is a pity that our other great javelin throwers have retreated to the 70-meter line over the past year.
