In the category up to 60 kg, the bronze medalist of the world championships from Jelgava Aleksandrs Radzevičs (club Apollons) won, improving his national record for adults by two and a half kilos. The new achievement is one and a half quintals. The second in this weight category was Kuldīga national guard Andris Bitenieks, who broke the junior record - 105 kg. In the weight category up to 75 kg, the record weight for men was lifted by the representative of the Police Sports Club Huseins Eldarovs - 182.5 kg. In the group of athletes whose weight does not exceed 82.5 kg, Igors Semjonovs (club Fortūna) from Jelgava lifted 160.5 kg (national record for men), the second place winner Aleksandrs Smelovs (Apollons) recorded a record achievement for seniors - 150 kg. The national veteran record was also broken by the third place winner in the heavyweight category (over 125 kg) Artūrs Sliede - 140 kg . In the youngest group (born in 1985-1987), Artūrs' son Jēkabs won - 35 kg.

Latvian athletes also participated in the open competitions of the Lithuanian Cup in Biržai. Raivis Širaks from Jelgava won the weight category up to 82.5 kg, achieving national junior records in the triathlon total (660 kg) and squats (250 kg). His results in the bench press were 157.5 kg and in the deadlift 252.5 kg. The second place in this category was Vitaly Karataevs from Tukums with 635 kg (265+120+250). Second place in the weight category up to 100 kg also went to Kārlis Bulāns from Ķekava with 715 kg (260+155+300).
