Next to those who forged five victories for our republic, we should mention javelin thrower Sofija Kantāne, shot putters Spodra Riekstiņa and Arturs Sliede , discus thrower Edvins Freidenfelds, runner Ināra Galdiņa, etc., who with a great sense of responsibility went to the start to fight in the interests of the entire team. An honorable fourth place in the competition of sixteen teams - this can only be achieved by a good and united team. And here we can draw another conclusion: Latvia is growing a strong track and field team, which must improve our positions in the next Spartakiad of the Nations.
